SITA: Princess of Mithila

Hello everyone, welcome to another blog of mine. Today we're gonna talk about the only shakti of Raghunandan Maryada Purshottam Bhagwan Shri Ram, our very own mother Janak Suta Janaki Mata SITA. If the blog is long then please forgive me because there are a lot of unknown facts about Sita ji so it's a little difficult to write in a short space.

# Now, let's know some facts about Shri Sita Maharani:-

1. Shri Sita is the first avatar of Mahalakshmi on Earth in Treta yug.

2. She is the direct incarnation of Mother of the Universe Maa LAKSHMI in TretaYug.

3. She took birth as a fair and golden complexioned lady in Videha (capital city Mithila) kingdom (present day Nepal) to King Janak and his wife Sunaina.

4. She is the only chief eternal consort & wife of Ayodhyanaresh. She is the heart of Ayodhya. If Rukmini is Lakshmi of Dwarkadham then she is Lakshmi of Ayodhyapuri.

5. She is the soul and heart of Maryada Purshottam Bhagwan Sri Rama. Without her our Shri Ram cannot eat, sleep or do anything.

6. She is the goddess of Vaikuntha, the place of achieving "moksh". She is Vaikuntha swamini, Narayani, Lakshmi.

7. She is also considered as one of the most beautiful woman who took birth in Treta Yug.

8. She would later become Mata Vaidarbhi/Rukmini in her next incarnation when Shri Ram would be Lord Krishn.

8. She was never born from a human's womb because no female had the power to conceive a girl who in reality is the incarnation of the Mother of this Universe.

9. She came from the earth/dhara/bhumi and left this earth from there only. 10. She is the wife, the shakti, the beloved of Lord Rama.

11. She is known as Ravan- yashohantri because she is the reason behind King Ravan's slain.

12. She had two children with Shri Ram namely LUV & KUSH.

# Now let's talk about some pastimes of Lord Rama and Mata Sita:-

Mata SITA is so soft and gentle as feather that even the most soft flower petals can hurt her sometimes. Once Lord Rama was in deep thought that his dear wife Sita is so devoted that sometimes she forgets even herself in serving him. So he thought in return he should give as much respect and love as her service. So the supreme lord himself started picking and plucking flowers to make ornaments for his beloved wife and asked Sita to sit near him. While he was adoring his wife and serving her gentle hands and body, the King of the Demigods Indradev's son Jayant became arrogant and said, "Let me see who is this Ram who is famous in all the three worlds." So he took the form of a crow and beaked Janaki ji's lotus feet. This enraged the supreme lord and in rage he lost his presence of mind and forgot were he kept his bow & arrow, so he plucked two grass leaves and made a bow and arrow out of it and attacked Jayant with Brahmaastra because he thought that he beaked at the lotus feet of that Mata Sita who sacrificed all her majestical pleasures just to accompany her beloved lord, that Sita who got exhausted by just walking 3 steps in the jungle, that Sita who is as pure and gentle as a feather. When Jayant got to know who really was Lord Rama in reality he trembled with fear and went to all gods, demigods, Trimurti and even his father Devraj Indra to save him from LORD RAMA's fury but no one helped. But at last Narad Muni came and asked what was wrong so Jayant narrated the whole incident and Narad Muni said that," Go and fall at the lord's feet and ask for his mercy. Take refuge in his compassion. He will surely forgive you because he never punishes those who take refuge in his mercy." Jayant went and fell at Raghunandan's feet and asked for forgiveness. But Prabhu was reluctant that he will never forgive him. So he held mata SITA's lotus feet and started to wipe the blood off her feet and asked for forgiveness. Mata Sita having a heart of Platinum (not gold because she is the most merciful) she asked Shri Rama to forgive him but Prabhu said no he will have to die for committing such a sin of hurting the lotus feet of the Mother of the Universe. She said," Then let me also see how will you hurt my brother who is now my devotee also. I am standing between the Brahmastra and Jayant. Let me see how that mere weapon can hurt my devotee. I will not let happen anything to him." Lord Rama was astonished that Sita is protecting that person who hurt her so brutally. This is the mercy of LAKSHMI SWAROOPA Mata JANAKI that she protects those who take shelter in her even though they have hurt her. She can even fight her Lord for her devotees. Because of his wife Lord Rama forgived Jayant but said that he will definitely punish him for his sin by taking his eyesight and eyes away. And he did so. Mata Sita also agreed.
Another story says that when JANAKI ji and Shri Rama along with Lakshmana returned to AYODHYA after 14 years of exile, Lord Rama's mother Kaushalya was so happy and joyful that she laid a carpet of rose petals for her daughter-in-law and son's grand welcome by her own. But when Janakji walked upon the petals she started to bleed and cry. When Kaushalya asked what happened to her she answered," Maa, these petals are too harsh and hard for my feet that is why they are bleeding but nevermind, you have put them with utmost love and affection for me and Raghunandan, so I will bear the pain for you. I will not make you disappointed." Kaushalya was surprised at this incident but by Lord Rama's mercy the petals became extremely gentle and delicate and Sita's feet also stopped bleeding. This is the soft and gentle and soft lotus like feet of Janakji who are the shelter of her devotees and even Lord Shri Ram himself.

3. The Last story of day - When the ministers of Ravan lightened up Hanumanji's tail, JANAKIJI became worried about her son like devotee and immediately ordered AgniDev, " Oh the one having the power to burn up anyone! Oh the God of Fire! If you dare to harm or burn my devotee even a bit then, I, Mithila Raj Janak sutta Janaki, Queen of Ayodhyapuri Sita will punish you for your sin for hurting them who has not committed any sin or bad in his only life and devoted his whole life to my beloved. Do not dare to even touch him and make sure to help him in burning of the arrogant and greatest sinner of the world Lankapati's city made of gold."

This is her mercy, love, care and affection for her devotees and beloved ones that she never let's anyone harm them even a bit. She always takes care of them who devote themselves purely unto her and her beloved. She is the mother of the Universe. When he is Narayan then she is NARAYANI; when he is Vishnu, then she is VAISHNAVI; when he is Lord Varaha, she is Devi VARAHI; when he is Lord Narasimha, she is Devi NARASIMHI; when he is Lord Parshuram, she is Devi DHARANI; when he is Lord Ram, she is Devi SITA; when he is Lord Krishna, she is Devi RUKMINI/RADHA, when he is Shaktiman; she is his SHAKTI.
