HELLO EVERYONE.

I apologise from the depth of my heart for not posting for this long. I was just rejuvenating and revaluating myself all this time. Today we are gonna talk about a topic which is not discussed much. Lord Shiva is my revered deity and I personally feel very connected to him right from when I got to know about him. But the one question that was always there in my mind that if people and our holy texts say that Lord Shiva is a vairaagi, then how come does he have such a big family, wife and kids?

Then through extreme research and meditation I got the answer that he is the Father of the Universe but at the end of the day he is also a devoted husband to his SHAKTI, the Mother of the Universe. For fulfilling her wish and proving this to the world that love can even uplift the harshest of curses, Shiv and Shakti through their omnipotent energies gave birth to their children.

LORD KARTIKEYA:- He is considered to be the first ansh & eldest child of SHIV-SHAKTI. Born out of the eternal dance of creation of Ardhnarishwara, Lord Kartikeya is a warrior apointed as the Dev sena pati or Chief Commander of the army of Gods. He is married to Indradev's daughter Devsena and is also worshipped as Lord Muruggan in Southern India and Lord Skand in Northern India. He was raised by 7 Kritikas' that is why he is named after them. He was born to slay the demon king Tarakasura as commanded by the boon given to Tarakasura by Lord Brahma that 'only ADISHIV & ADISHAKTI'S offspring will be able to slay you and no other creature on this Earth.'

GODDESS ASHOK SUNDARI:- She is the eldest daughter of Shiv-Shakti and the most beautiful woman according to scriptures. Goddess Parvati once requested Lord Shiva to take her to the most beautiful garden in the world. As per her wishes, Shiva took her to Nandanvana, where she saw a tree known as Kalpavriksha which could fulfill any wish. Since Kartikeya, the son of Parvati, had grown up and left Kailash, as a mother it caused immense grief and loneliness to her. She asked for a daughter from the wish-fulfilling tree to end her loneliness. Her wish was granted and Ashokasundari was born. Goddess Parvati later prophesied that Ashokasundari would marry King Nahusha of the lunar dynasty, who would be equal to Indra, the king of heaven.

DEMON KING ANDHAKASURA :- Once Lord Shiva was in deep meditation and Goddess Parvati came in a playful mood. She came from behind and covered the eyes of Lord Shiva with her palms. She also covered his third eye on the forehead and then there was a sudden darkness in the world. Parvati realised her mistake & removed her hands immediately. From Lord Shiva's third eye's energy and the heat of hands of Shakti rose a child who was named Andhaka because he was blind. He was called to be the third child of Shiv-Shakti. But Shakti gave away him to Demon King Hiranyaksha on the behest of Lord Shiva. But when he grew up unaware of his parentage, he put a evil eye on Goddess Parvati in order to make the most beautiful woman in the universe his wife but Lord Shiva punished him and then he was made a part of the Ganas after he apologized and meditated.

GODDESS MANASA DEVI:- Manasa devi is the daughter of Lord Shiva but brought up by a sage. Manasa devi is the sister of Sheshanag and Vasuki, king of Nāgas (serpents), and wife of sage Jaratkaru. She is the mother of the sage Astika.

In very few texts, she is considered to be Lord Shiva's daughter but there are enough proofs that she is connected to him. After Sheshnaag and Vasuki left the Kingdom of Snakes to serve their respective lords, Goddess Manasa Devi was appointed as Queen and to look after the subjects. Under the guidance of her other mother Kadru, the mother of all snakes her kingdom flourished and the snakes worshipped her as a deity granting wishes.

LORD GANESHA :- The youngest and dearest son of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati who was named as Vinayak on birth because of his cleverness. He is the Pratham pujya or the first one to be worshipped in Hindusim. To sway him of his ego of being Shakti's son Lord Shiva cut off his head from his body but later joined an elephant's head [who was also Lord Shiva's devotee] on Parvati's behest. He was later crowned as Ganesh or the chief of the Ganas and that is how he is called Lord Ganesha. He is known to be as the God of Wisdom and Purity. He is considered to be a playful and jolly deity and is flexible to all devotees who come to him.

All hail The Parents of this Universe- SHIV-SHAKTI.

Well, that is all dear readers. Thank you all for staying till this long. I will meet you in the next one till that time byee byeee..........
